ELLIS: Albert Judson
Passed away peacefully on January 17, 2010 at Kingston General Hospital after a brief struggle with Cancer, in his 83rd year. Dear son of the late C.V. and Dorothy Ellis. Brother to Ivy and the late Doris. Loving husband to the late Eva Gladys Ellis (nee Anderson). Survived by his four chosen children; James, Tracy, Scott and Kelly. Beloved Grandfather to Andrea, Keegan, Nathanial and Christopher. Great Grandfather to Taylorann. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Judson was a decorated veteran of WW II and the Korean Conflict. A member of the Canadian Legion, Branch 428. The family wish to thank the competent staff at Kingston General Hospital for their kindness and gentle care of Judson during his final weeks. LOVE:  Bertha Rachel
Passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2010, in her 94th year. Bertha was predeceased by her husband Gordon, her only child Keith and her siblings Karl, Gordon, Hazel and Sadie Jarvis and Madeline VanSickle.  Born to the late Christopher Jarvis and Sarah Spear in Stirling on August 2nd, 1916. She had been a long time resident of the Madoc community and was a member of the Trinity United Church and a lifetime member of The Order of the Eastern Star.  Bertha is survived by her sister Muriel Reid of Marmora, her four grandchildren, Jill Kastenhuber (Charles), Peter (Colleen), Chris (Carole) and Susan Robitaille (Jacques), her nine great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her many dear friends whom she counted as part of her family.  Private family service to be held at the McConnell Funeral Home, Madoc, with spring interment O'Hara Cemetery. Please no flowers. Donations to the charity of your choice.  The family wishes to thank the Staff at the Caressant Care Nursing Home in Marmora and the many, many people who have devoted their time to Bertha over the past years.

NASH:  Patrick Mark Anthony
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Patrick at his home in Bannockburn.  Beloved partner and soul mate of Nancy Woodall.  Dear father of Carly (Andrew Malone), Joel (Jessica) and Marc.  Granddad to Aidyn, Kole, Cailley and Jessica’s son Dylan, all of Orillia.  Adored by Nancy’s daughter Jessica (Rick Kitlar) and their children Hailey and Liam, and Nancy’s son Devin.  Predeceased by his brother Paul and greatly missed by sisters and their families, Sylvia and Cecilia, Ireland, Veronica, California and Barbara, Toronto.  Born in Ireland, Patrick was a musician in several folk rock bands and after touring Europe, came to Canada to perform.  He later became a talented picture framer, running his own art galleries in Newmarket and Fenelon Falls.  His flamboyancy as "Long Doc Nash” in the notorious "Lazy B Gang” of Uxbridge will not be forgotten, nor his rich Irish voice as he recalled yet another adventure, but it was his charm, sense of humour and intense love of life that most won the hearts of all who knew him.  A Memorial Service will be held at the McConnell Funeral Home, Madoc, on Saturday, November 21 at 1:00 p.m.  Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
