At Quinte Healthcare Trenton Memorial on Sunday, June 6, 2010. Elmer Embury, born in Madoc, in his 90th year. Son of the late Bruce and Lizzie Embury. Elmer loved all of his family. Brother of Lillian (Kelvin) Morrison, Belleville; Verna, Lindsay, and Vera and Marion, both of Madoc. Uncle of Judith (Dennis) Laffan, Cape Breton; Jean (Randy) Barre, Nancy (David) Roach and Gordon Morrison, all of Belleville. Loved by four great nieces, two great nephews and one great great nephew. He was an avid fisherman and snowmobiler until losing his sight and always enjoyed sports. April 24, 1953 – May 20, 2010  It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Tom Vitek, age 57, at Kingston General Hospital, on May 20, 2010. Tom, of Old Hastings Rd., Eldorado, Ontario, was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Winnifred Vitek of Cambridge. Survived by his sisters, Elizabeth (George) and MaryJane (Paul) and his niece, Anne. Tom will be sorely missed by his close friends, neighbours and family. Predeceased by her beloved husband Bayward Mansell Bell in 1987, stepsisters, Madeline Thomson and Ann McDermoid and daughter-on-law, Barbara Bell. Grandfather of Christopher and Carrie Davis. Step father of Arlene Sarrazin, Winnipeg; Allan Vilneff, Peterborough, Georgina Utman, Stanwood, Brian Vilneff, Stirling and the late Arnold Vilneff.  Brother of Bill, Tweed; Sharon Moffatt, Marmora and the late Marilyn Smith, Betty Harten & Margaret.  Loved by his many nieces and nephews. CREDICOTT:  Phyllis Margaret
Passed away suddenly, but peacefully at the Rouge Valley Ajax-Pickering Hospital on March 28, 2010 and is now re-united with Frank, her loving husband of 52 years who predeceased her January 1, 2010.  Youngest daughter of the late Alexander Dougherty and the late Nellie (Helen) Wright.  Beloved sister of Grace Millar, Marquette, Michigan.  Aunt to Valerie Fisette, Ron Millar, Bob Millar, Patsy Reid, Nancy Denny, Carol Ann Fox and Cathy Meeks.  Sister-in-law to Earla Credicott, Inez Credicott and Ray Millar. Cousin of Basil (Beulah) Wright, Laura Beth Breeding, John Wright, Jim Wright, Jack Dougherty, Douglas Wright and Laureena Hodgins. Phyllis will be dearly missed by her close friends Marion Gray, Mabel McCulloch, Walt and Helen Chisholm, Gary and Micheline Hunter, Julie Lange, Ellie Bridle, Eleanor Guenette, and "her boys” Tom Jones and Jeffrey Ward. Phyllis was born in the Ottawa Valley (Westmeath), raised in Pembroke, attended Queen’s University, Kingston and taught primary school in Kingston, Ontario and Edinburgh, Scotland.  Frank and Phyllis were married in Beachburg, Ontario on December 27, 1957. Phyllis taught for several years at Tweed High School and thirteen years at Dunbarton High School, Pickering, before retiring in 1978.  Frank and Phyllis were residents of Toronto, Tweed (on Stoco Lake for many years) and Belleville (2007), before moving to Ajax in August, 2009. Heartfelt thanks to Alison Hayward and the entire staff at Ballycliffe Lodge, Ajax, for their excellent and tender loving care for both Phyllis and Frank. A private graveside funeral service will be  held at Victoria Cemetery, Tweed, at 11:30am, on Wednesday, March 31, 2010.  A reception to follow at St. John’s United Church where Frank and Phyllis were long time members and Phyllis once served as President of the United Church Women. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to St. John’s United Church, Tweed, Ontario.
